Sales Manager, Industry Services  
Western US Region

The Western Region covers the following states: WA, OR, CA, AZ, ID, NV, UT, NM, AK and HI.

It should be noted that the candidate should live within the continental US portion of the Western Region. So only candidates from WA, OR, CA, AZ, ID, NV, UT or NM should apply, 

 

  • Sales of Voith Turbo products and services within the assigned region for Voith Industry Division while achieving the objectives outlined by group management including but not limited to:
    • Developing new customers including repair and service of competitor products
    • Identification of Voith installed base
    • Creating Customer Profiles
    • Customer Maintenance and Outage Planning
    • Customer Relationship Management
    • Upkeep of SalesForce database
    • Promote sales of spare parts, services and complete units including retrofit opportunities.
      • There is a requirement/expectation that all Account Managers will make a minimum of 7 face to face customer visits per month and file reports describing visit content/results.
          • Travel to/from customer sites will include air travel as well as motor vehicle operation. Individual travel times could be up to 7 hours per day.
        • Development of Service Agreements and Service Exchange programs
      • Provide field support for service department in areas of customer quoting and follow-up
        • Work could include working on/around gas turbine installations, pump installations, compressor drives, conveyor drives and mining facilities requiring a high level of physical fitness and manual dexterity.
      • Work with Inside Sales, Field Service, Retrofit and Engineering departments to establish schedules and priorities for field, in house repairs, part and unit sales, retrofit projects and engineering.
      • Develop and update Installed equipment database, Visit Logs and Outlook Contacts.
      • Provide sales support for direct sales through authorized, independent sales representatives and distributor organization.
      • Participate at trade show exhibits
      • Assist in overdue invoice collection as requested by management.
      • Proven professional sales experience
      • 5 years related experience with Rotating Machinery products & services
      • Hands on experience in gearbox repair, service and retrofits sales
      • Technical Degree from a two-year college or university
      • Or equivalent combination of education and experience
      • Experience providing customer service  support via visits, telephone and e-mail
      • Good organizational skills; ability to manage and prioritize multiple independent tasks including but not limited to forecasting and CRM tool management.
      • Good communication skills, both oral and written; ability to clearly and concisely relay information to customers through both quotations and phone conversations
      • Experience managing customer contact and projects for multi-faceted organization
      • Good interpersonal skills; ability to build and maintain successful working relationships within the company, with the group team, and with customers
      • Good technical writing skills
    • Physical Requirements:  The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an Associate to successfully perform the key actions of job.

       

    • The employee is also required to talk and/or hear in an industrial setting (noise level is moderate). The employee is frequently required to stand and walk on concrete surface from 4-8 hours. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  
       
    • The vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception and adjust focus.
       
    • The job requires extensive travel
