Summary:

The VP of Sales will lead the Voith Turbo Industry Division in North America, overseeing both After Market Business and New Built segments. The role manages a business of approximately €100M and a team of 75 employees.

 

Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

    • Define and implement regional sales and service structures aligned with global standards.
    • Develop and execute sales strategies, including monthly, annual, and 5-year plans.
    • Provide market intelligence and competitor analysis input.

Sales & Business Development:

    • Drive customer acquisition and retention.
    • Implement Sales Excellence tools and KPIs.
    • Lead contract negotiations and manage pricing and cash flow.

Operational Oversight:

    • Oversee OTO (Offer to Order) and OTC (Order to Commissioning) processes.
    • Manage service operations and workshop MRO across North America.
    • Coordinate risk management and ensure compliance with divisional standards.

Collaboration & Representation:

    • Work closely with product-sales teams, consultants, and associations.
    • Represent the region in the Voith Turbo Inc (VTI) management team.
    • Support lobbying and marketing communications initiatives.

People & Facility Management:

    • Lead and train sales and service teams.
    • Approve workflows across commercial, technical, personnel, IT, and Capex domains.
    • Manage facilities and office operations.

  • Proven ability to manage P&L and implement sales strategies in North America.

Education and Experience:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Mechanical Engineering).
  • 10+ years in senior sales roles, with exposure to finance and operations.
  • Experience in rotating machinery and Mechanical Drive Technology.
  • Fluent in English; willing to travel 30–40% nationally and internationally.
  • Preferred location: Houston, TX; alternate: York, PA.
