Your tasks

  • Responsible for the sales of automation- and software-solutions for the Rail Cargo industry (in Europe).
  • Ensure the development of our market position through sustainable support and maintenance of existing and - above all - new customer relationships.
  • Able to include "Front Sales" and "Key-Account Management" in the sales opportunity recognition process in order for follow-up (e.g. by training or sales support).
  • Responsible for the OTO (Opportunity To Order) process at the customer (including sales and contract negotiations).
  • Be in charge for the development and implementation of sales strategies in order to expand the business area. 
  • Communicate account activities, contacts and sales opportunities using the SalesForce CRM platform.

Your profile  

  • Degree in engineering (Information Technology, Economics, Electrical Engineering, adjacent technical background).
  • Experience with automation and/or software sales in a B2B environment (able to apply “value sales”, not “cost plus”). 
  • Track record in business development (build-up the sales channel for an innovative product in the EU-Rail Cargo market, high amount of entrepreneurial orientation).
  • Fluent in English is a must; German is desirable; other languages are advantageously.
  • Work independently, healthy levels of perseverance as well as work close with the product development team in a structured manner.
  • Affinity with industry 4.0 & Rail Cargo is advantageously.
  • Willingness to travel internationally is given (~40 %).
