Your tasks

  • Working on complex and international M&A projects for the Voith Group – from strategic portfolio extensions to entirely new business areas
  • Leading M&A processes across all phases - from target screening and approach, financial valuation, due diligence, preparation of board approval documents to post-merger integration
  • The spectrum of the Voith Group’s M&A activities is diverse - acquisitions, divestments, venture capital investments but also partnerships / joint ventures or project financing as well as carve-outs and post-merger integration
  • Analysis of business plans, identification of growth opportunities, synergies and risks as well as market studies and strategic assessments
  • Preparation of financial models and valuations - P & L, balance sheet, cash flow analyzes - transaction structures as well as decision templates for the Voith Group executive board
  • Project work in and guidance of interdisciplinary teams – including members from the internal operational divisions and functional departments (i.e., HR or Legal) as well as external consultants and service providers

Your profile

  • Above average university degree with a commercial or financial focus and ideally additional technical or scientific qualifications, preferably with a doctorate, MBA or CFA
  • 4-5 years professional experience ideally in capital goods as well as in M&A (Corporate M&A, Investment Banking, M&A Advisory or Transaction Services at an accounting firm)
  • Knowledge about technical processes in the capital goods industry.
  • Methodical knowledge and profound skills in finance, M&A processes, due diligence, business valuation and post-merger integration
  • Very good Excel knowledge as well as experience in modeling business cases and financial models
  • Very good spoken and written English skills - international experience desirable

  • Very good analytical skills and entrepreneurial thinking as well as structured, solution-oriented and independent working methods
