Your Responsibilities
- Independently ensuring compliance with national and international foreign trade and export control regulations.
- Advising business functions and international group companies on foreign trade and export control matters.
- Assigning customs tariff classifications to Voith products in accordance with applicable customs and foreign trade regulations.
- Determining the export control classification of products under national and international regulations and assessing potential licensing requirements.
- Conducting and evaluating business partner screenings, including the review and resolution of relevant screening results.
- Preparing and submitting export licence applications and independently managing the application process with the relevant authorities.
- Assessing the applicability and use of General Authorisations and monitoring the associated conditions and reporting obligations.
- Assessing complex business transactions with regard to embargoes, sanctions regulations, end use and end users.
- Further developing the internal export control framework and contributing to the optimisation, digitalisation and standardisation of relevant processes.
- Preparing and delivering internal training sessions and supporting internal and external audits.
- Drafting and updating work instructions, policies and other export control-related documentation.
Your Profile
- A university degree in business administration, business law or a comparable field, or a completed commercial apprenticeship or equivalent professional qualification, combined with relevant additional qualifications.
- Several years of relevant professional experience in export control and foreign trade, ideally within an international industrial company.
- The ability to independently assess risks and develop practical recommendations.
- Experience working with relevant authorities, particularly the German Federal Office for Economic Affairs and Export Control.
- A good understanding of international business processes and current geopolitical and economic developments.
- An independent, structured and responsible approach to work, combined with sound judgement and the confidence to drive decisions.
- Excellent communication and advisory skills, with a confident and professional manner when interacting with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP and SharePoint.
- Excellent written and spoken German and English; additional language skills would be an advantage.
- Willingness to travel occasionally, approximately 5–10%.
