Voith Hydro is seeking a highly motivated Project Engineer (m/w/d) to join our technical department and help us simulate the transient behavior of water power plants from intake to grid connection point. Your tasks
- Serve as the central point of contact within Voith Hydro for simulation of hydraulic and electrical transient behaviour of hydro power plants.
- Develop and implement processes and software for the investigation of the dynamic behavior of all systems of a complete hydropower plant.
- Represent Voith Hydro in external committees and development institutions.
- Actively participate in relevant conferences and project meetings with customers.
- Initiate and conduct necessary development activities to ensure Voith transient simulations are state of the art.
- Monitor relevant grid codes and ensure Voith simulation processes and results comply with these codes.
- Perform simulations as a service for operational sales units with regard to electrical and hydraulic transient issues.
- Train and support transient simulation specialists in various operating units of Voith Hydro and act as their technical leader.
Your profile
- Master's degree in engineering, preferably with a strong background in control systems engineering. Doctoral degree preferred.
- Proven experience in simulation of hydraulic and electrical transient behavior of hydro power plants.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to travel and work in a global environment.
- Proficient in relevant software and programming languages.
