Intern (m/f/d) - Development of Francis Turbines

Your Tasks

  • Your tasks include supporting the preparation and execution of measurements on Francis model turbines in the in-house test laboratory.
  • You analyze turbine characteristics across various operating ranges and compare them with measurements from actual power plant units.
  • By evaluating the data, you link theoretical principles with practical applications.
  • You will collaborate across disciplines with experts in measurement technology, hydraulic design, structural analysis, and materials science.
  • Contribute to current research questions that support the energy transition with your work.

 

Your Profile

  • You are an enrolled student in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline.
  • You have basic knowledge of mechanics, strength, and fatigue analysis.
  • You also possess very good skills in MS Office.
  • Good English skills, an independent working style, and the ability to work in a team complete your profile.
  • A structured and goal-oriented working style distinguish you.
