Service Manager, West Canada
Vancouver, BC
Our Service Manager is a self-motivated, reliable and dynamic individual with an entrepreneurial spirit, capable of leveraging their relationship to deliver high value products and services to our customers. Responsible for identifying and developing opportunities for all Service projects in North America. Working with customers to generate opportunities to grow the Voith Service Business in North America. Work with key local stake holders to provide best in class service experience to Voith customer base.
Primary Responsibilities and Activities OTO: Proposals, Sales and Business Development
Main responsibilities:
- Business Development advocate for all HyService Opportunities (OPEX, CAPEX, AUTOM/DIGITAL and SPARES)
- Lead the strategy for growth of their service region.
- Conduct frequent customer visits to generate growth and identify leads.
- Strengthen customer relationships and develop new customers.
- Drive sales and marketing of new services and products.
- Lead and develop the regional service hub team
- Manage opportunities in SalesForce.
- Other responsibilities: Develop winning Service proposals working together with the SPMr.
- Be the customer interface for all HyService proposals (CAPEX, OPEX, SPARES and AUTOM/DIGITAL).
- Manage the handed over warranty work.
OTC: Project Execution
- Ensure OPEX and SPARES projects are properly managed in their region.
- Be the face to the customer for HyService projects in the region.
- Profit/Loss responsibility for the service hub.
- Manage on site resource and contractor supplier schedule (with the support of the SPMr).
- Responsible for overall direct employee management.
- Manage T/A billable time to targets.
- Support annual sales planning.
- Invoicing and collections of payment (with support of the SPMr and SCs).
Profile Required:
- Intrinsically motivated.
- Service mindset
- At least 5 to10 years of experience in similar role.
- University diploma in Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
- Proven leadership track record.
- Sales experience
- Project management experience.
- Experience and technical understanding of Hydro turbines, generators and balance of plant equipment.
- Comfortable with full accountability.
- Good personal skills, team player.
- Able to work in a team with remote participants.
- Fully computer literate MS office suite.
- SalesForce and SAP experience are an asset.
- Up to 40% of travel time to various customer/project sites is required
