Application Engineer (m|f|d) Variable Speed Drives

We are looking for a dedicated Application Engineer to act as the technical contact for our variable speed drives product line. In this position, you will be responsible for processing technical inquiries, preparing proposals, and handing over orders to project management.
Your tasks
- Support global sales in managing customer projects within the Power Generation, Oil & Gas sectors, and emerging fields such as Hydrogen.
- Prepare commercial and technical proposals for our products and drive packages, working closely with our sales team.
- Review project requirements and specifications, and assess proposals for feasibility (risk assessment, costs, and delivery time), with support from departments such as Engineering, Finance, and Operations.
- Conduct technical clarifications with customers, finalize the technical scope of delivery, and hand over orders to relevant departments, including the necessary documentation.
- Coordinate and manage complex customer projects within an interdisciplinary team.
- In addition, you contribute actively to the continuous improvement of tools and processes and manage their implementation.
Your profile
- You have completed your studies in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, industrial engineering, or a comparable field.
- Several years of professional experience as an Application Engineer or Project Manager; international experience in the Oil & Gas industry and/or the energy sector is a plus.
- We require very good English and good German skills, both written and spoken.
- Willingness to travel occasionally worldwide (approx. 15%) is a welcome change.
- Strong intercultural competence, good communication skills, and entrepreneurial thinking and acting.
- You are a great team player, and you have strong project management skills. Your working approach is self-motivated and independent.
