The incumbent in this position develops and directs the business sales activities of the Voith Turbo Industry Division in the area of hydraulic linear drives, systems and pumps for industries unlimited applications across the US. The incumbent establishes objectives necessary for the success of the business segment, manages a team of two sales employees, understands the market and financial concepts.




  • Responsible for the sales and profitability of new products, aftermarket, services and retrofit for hydraulic linear drives, systems and pumps products.
  • Builds and maintains relationships, partnerships and alliances while generating creative and strategic solutions that can be successfully implemented.
  • Understand customers’ requirements (OEM’s, Distributors, End Users and Consultants) in the sectors of heavy machine tools builders, press industry, punching and nibbling systems, mills and high pressure and reliability pumps market.
  • Promotes and supports the delivery of products in coordination with the Voith factories and other subsidiaries.
  • Provide information regarding markets to assist in the preparation of the business strategies, business planning and new product development.
  • Sets sales goals for the territory and is responsible for meeting these goals.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with the internal engineering support teams.
  • Interfaces with product group managers as necessary to achieve the Industry strategic goals.
  • Visits customers and negotiates contracts as required in conjunction with factory support and in accordance to Voith’s risk management directives.
  • Responsible for resolving Voith/customer conflicts, and overall customer satisfaction.



  • Bachelor’s Degree from college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Certification of Fluid power required
  • Minimum 7-10 years of sales and service related experience
  • Ability to read and analyze technical drawings, PNID and controls as well as interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
  • Knowledge about electrical drives, automation and hydraulic drives is an asset.
  • Ability to comprehend overall intentions and requirements of technical specifications
  • Capable to lead project management and contractual negotiation activities
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Affinity with softwares such as MS-Office, SAP, Navision and Salesforce.
