Field Service Quality Engineer (m/f/d)

Your tasks

  • Review customers specifications, further legal / statutory requirements (Q related) and compare to VH standards aiming to identify main relationships and differences (if any) and ensuring proper management and compliance with requirements.
  • Review / create site-specific quality plans and documentation (e.g.: Inspection & Test Plans, QS, MGS).
  • Support the development of site-specific quality strategies and schedules, ensuring that all relevant quality activities and requirements are considered and consistent to the strategies.
  • Support, facilitate and review process FMEAs, verification and validation reports, ensure proper method application, risk analyse & classification as well as the definition of measures and their implementation.
  • Participate on key project related meetings (e.g.: design reviews, customer alignment sessions) providing quality related input.
  • Ensure through process audits & verifications within VH sites and based on site-specific data analyse.
  • Handle, follow up and coordinate nonconformity reports (change notifications) from issuance until closure.
  • Drive, support and facilitate continuous improvement activities within VH sites based on site-specific data analyse.
  • Ensure project lessons learned (positive and negative) are produced and management system changes are implemented, as necessary. 
  • Support, review and release the site-specific quality data book.
  • Coordinate internal and external (if and when required) Quality personnel acc. to ITP and scheduled activities. E.g. NDT, electrical, dimensional.
  • Manage inspections in IT system and support calibration system and measurement systems management at site.
  • Support, on demand and based on your capabilities, quality department's tasks & priorities defined by the Quality Engineering Manager & Head of Quality and/or VH Quality.
  • Frequent business trips: approx. 50% of time (e.g. local supplier visits).

 

Your profile

  • Degree in Engineering (mechanical, electrical, material) or equivalent.
  • Relevant work experience in quality management & quality engineering.
  • Relevant professional experience and knowledge in business processes as well as in non-quality functions like manufacturing, logistics, engineering, purchasing, construction sites. Experience on Hydro Power Plant construction projects, or Oil & Gas Sector is an advantage.
  • 1st (internal) and 2nd (supplier) party auditor qualification acc. ISO 19011. Certification as lead auditor is an advantage.
  • Qualification in electrical, dimensional and NDT testing.
  • Practical knowledge in using IT-tools: SharePoint, SAP, MS Office, database tracking programs.
  • Good lean management background is an advantage.
  • Management and communication skills (incl. but not limited to interpersonal, listening, verbal, written, didactic and presentation)
  • Fluency in Portuguese and English, both written and spoken, is required (additional languages are an advantage).
  • Strong analytical expertise as well as result-oriented, solution-driven (pragmatic) and customer oriented working principle.
  • Experienced and willingness to work and cooperate in cross-functional teams.
