For the Voith Hydro Quality team, we are looking for you as a:

Sourcing Quality Manager 
Brossard

 

 

Under the authority of the Head of Project Quality and the supervision of the project manager, the Sourcing Quality Manager is responsible for the quality activities at the suppliers doing the manufacturing of the project components.

 

Main Responsibilites:

 

  • Participating in the creation and review of inspection tests plans;
  • Carry out quality inspections at suppliers and their subcontractors with the presence of the final customer or not, according to inspection and test plans;
  • Check the quality documentation produced by the supplier during manufacture;
  • Managing all invitations needed for inspections with suppliers and customers;
  • Coordinate logistical details surrounding inspections;
  • Write interventions reports following the inspections;
  • Issue, track and close nonconformities (NCR);
  • Issue, track and close technical change requests (TCR);
  • Follow and close urgent change notices (UCN);
  • Prepare, review and analyze supplier quality records;
  • Issue Voith quality release and obtain the client's own release;
  • Issue and monitor preventive and corrective actions when required (RAC / RAP);
  • Acting as the Customer's primary contact for all quality matters;
  • Maintain good relations with the client and his / her local representatives;
  • Facilitate the resolution of quality problems;
  • Ensure that quality and technical requirements related to the project are understood by the suppliers and support them to meet those requirements when necessary;
  • Participate in various meetings: start-up meetings with suppliers, design review, lessons learned, risk management, internal or external coordination meetings;
  • Participation and involvement to maintain internal certification (Internal Quality Management System);
  • Support continuous improvement activities to improve Intern processes and workflow(example: RCA, LL, PS, FMEA, REEN, etc.)

 

Knowledge and requirements:

 

  •  
  • Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering or College Degree and equivalent years of experience;
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in Quality Management;
  • Rigor, determination, reliability, credibility and transparency;
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills;
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels, internally, with clients and suppliers (transmitting the sense of urgency with diplomacy and current current problems in a concise manner based on facts and level of risk);
  • Customer orientation (listening, establishing and maintaining trust, responsive to change, committed to project success, working as a team).
  • Ability to read drawings, technical specifications, and work instructions;
  • Specific technical knowledge, such as:
    • Metrology, dimensional measuring instruments (classical and electronic);
    • Very good bases in geometric tolerances such as "straightness", circularity, parallelism, cylindricity, concentricity, beat, flatness, perpendicularity, etc.);
    • Welding (familiar with international welding standards, welding procedures, welder qualification, NDT);
    • Painting (painting procedures, qualification of painters ...);
  • Knowledge of the Quality Management System (ISO 9001).
