Voith Hydro, of German origin, is a world leader in equipment used to produce hydroelectric power. Located throughout the world, our company provides services mainly for the modernization of hydroelectric facilities and the construction of turnkey hydroelectric power plants.

 

HYDRO SITE SUPERVISOR (student)

 

Our Field Service team oversees the activities on turbine-generator components for hydroelectric projects across Canada. Our employees are located on site, where they provide their expertise and leadership to ensure that safety, schedules, quality and budgets requirements are met.

 

Would you like to contribute to Canada's hydroelectric legacy? Join the VOITH team as student. You will be assigned on one of our hydroelectric projects across Canada (Keeyask, Site C, Riel, Rapide-Blanc …).

 

 

Your responsibilities

 

  • Participate in site execution: technical analyses, purchasing processes, work planning, budget monitoring, etc.
  • Plan and supervise the work of subcontractors (piping, electrical, painting, etc.) and document extras;
  • Participate in quality control: documentation and inspections (installation, welding, certifications, etc.).
  • Promote health and safety practices on site.
  • The tasks will be dynamic and will evolve with the student’s capabilities.

Our Field conditions

  • A typical work week is 5 to 6 days at 10 hours per day.
  • Overtime and travel time are paid.
  • Per Diem for lodging or camp provided.
