Active member of the engineering team, your role will be to ensure the design of the alternators according to Voith Hydro standards and procedures and to coordinate the realization of the drawings.





  • Develop and maintain design files;
  • Development of technical specifications and procedures for the manufacture of equipment;
  • Technical assistance for the supply, manufacture and installation of equipment on site;
  • Execution of contract reviews to validate the concordance between the requirements of the estimate, the estimate made during the preparation of the offer and the final scope of the work;
  • Technical and economic validation of the concepts retained in the final configuration of the alternators;
  • Technical coordination between stakeholders from other disciplines involved in the design;
  • Supervision of technicians who produce working drawings and final verification thereof, may also be called upon to produce these drawings;
  • Performing analytical and finite element calculations to validate the mechanical strength of the components of the alternator;
  • Use and development of internal engineering tools;
  • Preparation of site assembly procedures including dimensional readings and start-up procedures;
  • Participation and technical assistance in the start-up of the turbine-generator groups;
  • Responds to all technical aspects of projects facing respective clients and consulting engineers;
  • Active participation in design reviews with the client;
  • Develop, update and control the application of standards, methods and practices in mechanics.





  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and be a member of the Order of Engineers of Quebec;
  • Knowledge of numerical calculation and modeling tools;
  • Good knowledge of spoken and written French and English;
  • Available for occasional trips to the United States and Canada;
