BOM Requisition Specialist / sap system  



This position works as a contributor to the engineering group on mechanical parts orders using the SAP system. Occasionally this person might work with the CAD system to validate some information and/or support the engineering department. 

  • Implement and validate the bill of materials to be purchased with engineering documents.
  • Update the bill of materials in the SAP system during the engineering document revision process.
  • Coordinate all required technical documentation in accordance with all parts to be provided to the subcontractor and/or the site.
  • Collaborate with the engineering group to define the best strategy for parts requisitions.
  • Link information between the engineering group and the purchasing department
  • Develop, update and maintain standards related to the management of all information in the SAP software.
  • As required, support the technical department to follow up and/or doing some technical drawing.



Have a direct link with engineering department about technical drawing deadlines to start or revise the bill of materials.

  • Coordinate with other disciplines involved in the procurement process.
  • Contribute to improve the process in SAP.

The person in this role will act as the link between the Engineering and the Procurement departments. You will therefore have to communicate with various people; communication and teamwork are the key to succeed in this role.

  • Mechanical engineering technician (or equivalent)
  • Communication skills, both oral and written
  • Functional English, Advanced French
  • Knowledge of SAP system (or strong willingness to learn)
  • Knowledge of technical drawing reading and CAD system
  • Organized and able to take on multiple tasks in parallel
