<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">The Engineer II Quality and OPEX is responsible for HSE, Quality, Lean Manufacturing, and Manufacturing Engineering functions listed below in the Austell Roll shop.


<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Responsibilities –

  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Health Safety and Environmental:
    • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Keep control over operational and environmental permits
    • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Assisting with local safety training
    • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Job Safety Analysis and Ergonomics
    • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Processing of Incident reports
    • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Coordinate Safety audits
    • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Monthly KPI analysis, and tracking of corrective actions
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Quality:
    • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Quality system monitoring
    • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Assist on customer complaints root cause investigation, and follow up of corrective actions
    • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">CMM management, calibration, training and maintenance
    • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Coordinate Internal Quality audits
    • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Monthly KPI analysis, and tracking of corrective actions
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Operations Excellence:
    • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Promote lean culture throughout the facility
    • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Define plans for implementation of lean tools (5s, Kaizen, Shop visual management, etc.)
    • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Coordinate continuous improvement workshops and projects
    • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Coordinate OPEX audits
    • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Monthly KPI analysis, and tracking of corrective actions
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Manufacturing Engineering
    • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Generate and update process documentation; Work Instructions, Flow charts, PFMEA, etc.
    • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Plant layout and work stations improvement


<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Qualifications –

  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Industrial Engineering or related field Bachelor’s degree
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Proficient with computers applications MS Office suite, CAD, including electronic document control and distribution
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Experience working with automation and robots
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Experience with Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and Ergonomics
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Experience with environmental management systems
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Basic knowledge of Quality systems
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Knowledge and experience applying Lean tools, capable of teaching and coaching other team members
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Exceptional multi-tasking skills and ability to independently manage multiple tasks.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Strong verbal and written communication skills, across different levels of the organization.


<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Physical Demands -

  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand for an extended amount of time, walk and reach with hands and arms. Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
