Summary

This position is responsible for all aspects of proposals and sales as required to meet the order intake objectives for the assigned market segment.  Additionally, the Manager of Sales is responsible for managing a team of sales and service representatives.

 

Responsibilities

  • Responsible and accountable for order intake volume, profitability and market share.
  • Responsible for the development of the marketing strategy as well as the coordination of the strategy implementation.
  • Analyze proposal wins/losses for trends, develop and implement corrective actions as required.  In addition create a recommended investment plan necessary to gain a competitive advantage for the company on upcoming projects.
  • Lead technical and commercial contract negotiations.
  • Responsible and accountable for adherence to all Voith Group and Voith Group Division directives as well as Voith compliance and policies.
  • Manage a team of Sales Representatives and Technical Support Specialists for given region.
  • Cover individual accounts as required to support the region

 

Qualifications

  • Must have a B.S. degree in a relevant field or 5+ years of relative experience
  • 5+ years of papermaking experience preferred
  • Proven history of leadership
  • Demonstrates expertise in product knowledge and application.
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Must be highly organized and motivated
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, business acumen, organizational development skills, and the interpersonal skills necessary to operate in a team environment.

 

Physical Demands

Must be able to physically perform the essential duties of the position which include regular sitting, standing, walking, talk and hear.  Also some lifting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, use of hands to finger and balancing.
