Voith U.S. Inc. (VPA) is hiring for:

Intern, Automation Engineering  
Appleton, Wisconsin

Responsibilities:

• Use CAD software to generate schematics and layout drawings.
• Generate Bills of Materials for machine assemblies.
• Performs technical calculations.
• Works with suppliers to specify components.
• Develops software for machine control.
• Read specifications regarding requirements of machinery.
• Follow instructions as provided by other Engineers, Designers, and Managers.
• Communicate work status with Engineering and Project Management staff.
• Interacts with business system as required.

Qualifications:

• Candidates must be enrolled in an ABET Accredited College pursuing an Electrical Engineering or similar degree.
• Industrial experience a plus.
• Experience with Rockwell components and software a plus.
• Willingness to learn.

Physical Demands:

• This position is largely in an office setting.
• At times, this role will require working in the manufacturing environment.
• Sitting or standing for long periods of time.
• Work using a computer and phone.

Summary:

Voith Paper is a part of the Voith Group and is a supplier to the paper industry.  We are looking for Electrical Engineering students to work as interns in our Automation Group in Appleton, Wisconsin. This is a flexible position, but the expectation is full-time work during school breaks and the possibility for part-time work while attending school.
