Voith U.S. Inc. (VPA) is hiring for:
Intern, Automation Engineering
Appleton, Wisconsin
Responsibilities:
- Use CAD software to generate schematics and layout drawings.
- Generate Bills of Materials for machine assemblies.
- Performs technical calculations.
- Works with suppliers to specify components.
- Develops software for machine control.
- Read specifications regarding requirements of machinery.
- Follow instructions as provided by other Engineers, Designers, and Managers.
- Communicate work status with Engineering and Project Management staff.
- Interacts with business system as required.
Qualifications:
- Candidates must be enrolled in an ABET Accredited College pursuing an Electrical Engineering or similar degree.
- Industrial experience a plus.
- Experience with Rockwell components and software a plus.
- Willingness to learn.
Physical Demands:
- This position is largely in an office setting.
- At times, this role will require working in the manufacturing environment.
- Sitting or standing for long periods of time.
- Work using a computer and phone.
Summary:
Voith Paper is a part of the Voith Group and is a supplier to the paper industry. We are looking for Electrical Engineering students to work as interns in our Automation Group in Appleton, Wisconsin. This is a flexible position, but the expectation is full-time work during school breaks and the possibility for part-time work while attending school.
