Field Service Expert, Automation (Appleton, WI)

Voith US, Inc is seeking a Field Service Expert, Automation (Appleton, WI) to implement control algorithms and quality control systems for the pulp and paper industry. Process customers’ data and project specifications to set up Visualization for HMI applications via Atvise PLC. Program in major automation platforms (CodeSys) on Siemens PLCs, with an emphasis on Structured Text and Function Block. Provide and ensure the highest levels of automation systems and infrastructure availability and resolve escalations of moderate to medium to high complexity. 15% travel domestic required.

Job Requirements:

Requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a related field and 4 years of pre- or post-degree experience in automation, PLC programing, electrical system designs, reliability and availability of control systems, and integration of final control elements. Must have experience with: Implementing control algorithm for pulp and paper industry, and quality control system; Supporting sales in developing opportunities, building proposals, and customer presentations;  SQL database design; Integration of ISRA vision system in paper machine for Web Break Detect system, Web Inspection system, and Unwinder Control system; Designing using Visio, AutoCAD, CAD Software, SolidWorks and Inventor; Simulation/Calculation/Optimization using Creo Parametric, ANSYS (FEA software), Matlab and Mathematica; Automation using Simatic Siemens PLC S7, CODESYS, Allan Bradley PLC, MySQL Server, MySQL Workbench, Rockwell Automation’s FactoryTalk; and Advance measurement sensors for paper industry.
