Voith Paper is a part of the Voith Group and is a supplier to the paper industry. We are looking for an Electrical Engineer with 5 or more years of industry experience. Summary:

Voith Paper is a part of the Voith Group and is a supplier to the paper industry.  We are looking for an Electrical Engineer with 5 or more years of industry experience. In this role, you will be exposed to many facets of engineering and will interface with colleagues all over the world. This position is located in Appleton, Wisconsin.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Use CAD software to generate schematics and layout drawings including electrical, pneumatic, and/or hydraulic systems.
  • Review product designs for compliance with sound engineering principles, company standards, and customer purchase order requirements and related technical and mill specifications.
  • Develops and prepares drawings, documentation, part records, bills of material, and instruction manuals for orders.
  • Participate in Risk Assessment and safety evaluations of machinery.
  • Perform technical calculations.
  • Cultivate relationships with suppliers to ensure proper use of their components.
  • Develops software for machine control including PLC, HMI, Drives, and Safety logic.
  • Follow instructions as provided by other Engineers and Managers.
  • Communicate work status with Engineering and Project Management staff.
  • Interacts with business system as required.
  • Provide technical leadership to less experienced Engineers and Designers.
  • Travels as required for project meetings, installation assistance, training, start-up service, and troubleshooting machinery.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronics Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Five or more years of industrial experience. Paper industry experience is a plus.
  • Experience with Rockwell hardware and software a plus.
  • Willingness to learn.

 

Physical Demands:

  • This position is largely in an office setting.
  • At times, this role will require working in the manufacturing environment.
  • Sitting or standing for long periods of time.
  • Work using a computer and phone.
