Summary:

The Senior Production Scheduler will be responsible for scheduling production to ensure that products are produced and delivered on time. This role involves planning and scheduling appropriate labor, materials, and resources for efficient and cost-effective production.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Track fabric progress against baseline schedules to ensure timely completion of fabric stages. 
  • Communicate and coordinate with production supervisors and customer service to meet customer delivery requirements.
  • Schedule equipment availability for preventative and unplanned maintenance events.
  • Improve data quality to increase the accuracy of schedules. 
  • Initiate and participate in continuous improvement activities.

 

 

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Proficient in the use of computers and databases to pull data. 
  • Analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.
  • Analyze data and develop innovative, data-driven solutions to complex challenges.
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing while building and maintaining positive customer relationships.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills to effectively manage competing priorities, deadlines, and workload demands.
  • Drive results through self-directed work, sound judgment, and strong personal accountability.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Degree in Business, Computer Science or related field, preferred.
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills required.
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing planning, scheduling, or inventory management. 
  • Experience with JD Edwards and/or manufacturing planning systems. 

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
