Summary:

The Sales Representative III is responsible for managing and growing assigned customer accounts through consultative selling, strategic relationship management, and identification of new business opportunities. This position partners closely with customers and internal stakeholders to provide value-based solutions, drive revenue growth, maintain accurate sales forecasts, and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction. The role serves as a trusted advisor while promoting Voith products and services that support customer operational and business objectives.

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage assigned accounts to meet sales and order budget objectives, while addressing customer complaints, monitoring receivables, and controlling travel and entertainment expenses.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including Customer Service, Product Management and Manufacturing to drive operational success and achieve business objectives.
  • Present and promote value-added products and technical services by analyzing data and delivering reports that support customer decision-making and acceptance.
  • Determine with sales management and regional team members prescribed levels of call frequencies through accounts planning to include machine downtime coverage.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and market insight to support business planning and S&OP processes.
  • Monitor account performance, market trends, and competitive activity to identify growth opportunities.
  • Support product installations, maintain accurate reporting and database records, and promptly escalate product performance or runnability issues.

 

 

Required Skills/Abilities:

 

  • Bachelor Degree in Business, Engineering, Paper Science, or related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and sales experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of B2B sales, account management, business development, or technical sales experience.
  • Ability to identify customer needs and align solutions to business objectives.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with technical, operations, customer service, and leadership teams.
  • Experience managing customer relationships and growing existing accounts within industrial, manufacturing, technical products, chemicals, process industries, capital equipment, or related markets preferred.
  • Experience utilizing CRM systems to manage customer interactions, opportunities, and account plans.
  • Must be willing to travel up to 85% of the time.

 

 

 

Physical Requirements

  • Regularly required to talk and hear, stand and walk, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms.
  • Climb stairs, walking, kneeling, pulling, warm temperatures, work around equipment.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds as needed.
