For the Voith Hydro, department Integrated Planning, we are looking for you as a Master Scheduler.

Responsibilities:

Key accountable person to ensure the project´s master time schedule is prepared, maintained and submitted according to all contractual requirements and Voith Hydro´s processes and systems requirements:

  • Prepare the logic and sequence of the project execution and its interfaces (in Primavera and SAP, based on VH templates or developing new schedules if required)
  • Align the durations & dates, moderate, get commitment to the schedule from all project key performers (including functions, other OUs, consortium and external partners) for the complete project schedule (from notice to proceed until delivery to site / final take over by the customer)
  • Ensure contractual requirements and interfaces are covered considering claim risks and opportunities
  • Report project status internally and to the customer (in alignment with PMr)

The driver of accomplishment of project dates (contract / consortium / internal):

  • Monitor the plan and drive the completion of the project dates by the performers according to the agreed schedule and ERP system requirements
  • Fully update the project schedule according to the actual progress achieved
  • Collaborate with project team to identify critical path, schedule risks, conflicts and opportunities; provide early warnings and recommendations; initiating / support defining and tracking contingency and recovery plans with functions. If required, perform schedule adjustments with all involved players and the PMr.
  • Escalate critical issues to the Project Manager / Head of Master Scheduling / Head of Integrated Planning

In OTO phase: Prepare schedules for projects in the bidding phase in coordination with OPM and Department Heads.

  • Transfer updated Primavera schedules to SAP for definition of requirement dates, perform BoM transfer and, where necessary, enter offsets
  • Regularly maintain systems to ensure quality of data.
  • Monitor and involve all the areas needed to solve MRP exception messages, perform on time confirmation and provide status
  • Schedule and coordinate the shipments in Shipment Planning of all parts until arrival at site
  • Evaluate and observe KPIs, use Earned Value Analysis, Float/Buffer Consumption Management and Capacity Planning
  • Support or represent Project Managers with customer reports, presentations and meetings related to scheduling and delivery performance
  • Critically review a schedule and apply concepts of resource loading, cost loading, critical path, fast track and crashing to get an optimal time schedule

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (required) in Engineering (preferred)
  •  Master’s Degree (preferred)
  • 3 years’ experience in project scheduling and/or project management
  • Project and/or construction scheduling experience
  • Project and/or proposal management experience, or equivalent experience in Engineering, Purchasing/Sourcing, Manufacturing or Construction
  • Excellent analytical and organization skills
  • Excellent interaction and communication skills
  • Solid language skills in English (written and verbal)
  • Production planning experience in custom manufactured products and/or Engineer-to-order business experience (hydro product knowledge preferred)
  • PERT/CPM, EVM, Float Management, Capacity Planning, Fast Tracking, Crashing
  • Advanced user qualifications in Primavera (P6), resource loading, cost loading, baseline, claim digger, progress tracking
  • Advanced user qualification in SAP PP, PS, MM, MRP
  • Team player, effective negotiation and conflict resolution skills. Must have demonstrated successful experience and proactivity
