Sales Engineer for Rail

Your tasks:

After market sales to existing and new customers by performing whole scope of sales activities with the main focus on the Rail industry

  • Direct sales of spare parts, overhauls and services into the rail market with margin and volume responsibility
  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM) with different customer segments (OEM, End-user, Authorities)
  • Initiate and perform whole scope of necessary sales activities in order to unlock untapped markets and expand business, establish relations with new potential clients;
  • Participate in technical, commercial and contractual negotiations of orders
  • Local marketing activities (Trade Fairs, conferences and customer events, etc.)
  • Preparing and giving sales presentations
  • Making of quotes / price indication of products
  • Commit to increase Voith Turbo’s visibility and capabilities in the market
  • Developing and follow-up Sales strategy in the territory
  • OEMs, and End User monitoring
  • Competitor monitoring including lost project analysis
  • Aid in development and implementation of Company’s business plan
  • Research and follow-up potential domestic and international projects
  • Development of new customers across all customer segments (OEM and end user)
  • Utilization of implemented project database and update project status for sales forecasting
  • Writing and follow-up of visit reports
  • Cooperation with Voith headquarters and other departments within the Voith group

 

Your profile:

  • Technical education with specialization in mechanical engineering, preferable in drive systems and components
  • Commercial/Economical additional courses or education are of advantage
  • Min. 3 years of successful professional experience in technical sales preferably in Rail Industry
  • Preferable technical knowledge of products related to Rail industry e.g. drive line, couplers and opportunity to deeply understand applications of customers
  • Preferable understanding of Rail industry (decision making processes and identification of decision makers and individual needs) in Poland
  • Experience in entering untapped markets and generating new business
  • Experience of relations establishment and conducting commercial and technical negotiations on various levels of decision makers (specialists, middle management level, C-level)
  • Presentation skills with Polish and international audiences
  • Technical and commercial negotiation skills with Polish and international customers
  • Native Polish language and fluent English (written and spoken)
  • Driving license category  B
  • Readiness for frequent business trips (business trips can take up to 70% of working time within Poland and occasionally LT, LV, EE)
  • Strongly sales and goal oriented (sales mind set) with a will for closing the deal and unlocking untapped markets
  • Willingness to take responsibility and make decisions
  • Highly customer oriented; understanding customer needs and actively searching for solutions
  • Diligence in carrying out tasks
  • Readiness to learn, develop own potential, acquire new knowledge
