For the Voith Paper Engineering team, we are looking for you as a:

Project Engineer/Project Manager 

The function of the Project Engineer/Project Manager is to serve as the central point of contact through which all enquiries from the customers and field representatives; and all responses and information relating to sales, production and commercial matters are channeled and coordinated.



  • Receiving and ensuring timely response to all incoming calls, e-mails, faxes, and letters from customers.
  • Provide internal support to the sales/service representatives in all the assigned accounts in the region.
  • Preparing, issuing and distributing in prescribed manner quotations based on effective roll cover and mechanical price list for Company products and services when requested by customers or field representatives.
  • Issuing and distributing official order acknowledgement promptly upon receipt of electronic or written order, after contract review including verification of technical data, specifications, price and delivery. Issuing and distributing change orders.
  • Issuing prescribed work order to production.
  • Performing roll inspection, troubleshooting problems and determine potential upgrades to enhance performance of the roll.
  • Preparing and issuing roll inspection reports in the prescribed and timely manner.
  • Attending scheduling meetings, maintaining list of outstanding orders and monitoring on regular basis delivery status with production and advising customer and field representatives of change in delivery.
  • Issuing required documentation to accounting allowing for invoicing on day of shipment
  • Receiving and initiating appropriate action to respond to complaints.
  • Acquiring adequate technical knowledge on Company products, services, and applications to allow for effective sales discussion and product presentation.
  • Attending and participating in all designated technical and professional training and instructional seminars; and achieving the required proficiency standards as may be established by the Company. 
  • Effecting account visits according to the determined frequency, and with due regard to the customers’ procedures and preferences.
  • Participating, when required, in investigation and discussion of product claims according to the established Claims Handling Procedures.
  • Ensure that expenditures of Company funds are made in a judicious manner within established budgets.
  • Sharing responsibility for the Company’s continuing competitiveness by ensuring that the confidentiality of sensitive product, process, financial, or marketing information is maintained.
  • Reporting to the Engineering Manager any inability to perform any of the above responsibilities in the prescribed manner.




  • A degree in Bachelor of Science for Mechanical Engineering would be preferred. A technical degree with experience in paper industry would be considered as minimum.   
  • Must preferably have strong mechanical aptitudes. Experience as Project Manager will be most beneficial for this position.
  • Proficiency in Autocad or Solidworks would be an asset.
  • Must possess excellent customer-relations and interpersonal skills.
  • Requires the ability to communicate effectively in a pleasant manner.
  • Must be well organized, a self-starter, and requires the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must possess good to excellent language (Fluent French and English), typing, and excellent computer skills for accurate and effective documentation (Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, and Powerpoint).
  • Requires the ability to work under time restraints and prioritize rush work, multiple tasks and demands as required.
  • Must have working knowledge of applicable paperwork related to general office, i.e. purchase orders, invoicing, acknowledgments, quotations, etc…
  • Must be able to effectively gather, organize, analyze, and present data as required.
  • Requires exposure to industrial environments.
  • Must pass company physical with no major limitations and alcohol and drug-screening tests.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
  • Must have no limitation to travel in the region including the United States.
