We are looking for a strong Global Key Account Manager who drives sales with major accounts and promotes sales excellence into regions. Are you a dedicated business leader of business management and development of the global key customers who is able to develope, enhance and secure a leading market position as well as to increase the market share and improve the operating profit at key customers?


Key responsibilities

  • Identify new business opportunities and approaches with the key customers
  • Define & implement a profitable growth strategy with key customers (turnover increase, improvement of operating profit)
  • Provide a structured master process for customer development and tools.
  • Develop and enhance value-based pricing strategies
  • Build and maintain contact and close relationship with key customers (decision makers; all relevant interfaces).
  • Coordination of product development and product standardization activities (alignment of the product development roadmaps with key customers), coordination and monitoring of activities of international multifunctional team
  • Provide inputs for overall global product strategy.
  • Key customer requirement management (product and process requirements, key customer standards)
  • Drive information flow and messaging towards external and internal customer (Communication strategy and channel)
  • Provide inputs for Sales Excellence; implement Sales Excellence approach
  • Coordinate and ensure of commercial and technical risk management
  • Coordination of change management with key customers
  • Monitor the global activities of the key customer and competitors position
  • Coordination of service activities with the key customers
  • Business planning / forecasts (new business with key customers)


Specific Skills & Knowledge

  • Several years of commercial experience in sales / KAM roles
  • Bachelor´s / Master´s degree or comparable education
  • Experience in managing customer contacts and projects within area of highly matrixed internal organizations
  • Willingness to travel extensively, both locally and globally (~50%)
  • Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
  • Digital capabilities and experience are an advantage
  • Finally, your personal profile will include a strong business acumen, strong ability for networking and leadership, distinct communication and negotiation skills
